Your rights
Last updated 5 September 2026
This page applies to pieces bought at a distance — ordered and paid for without a visit to the showroom, and delivered. A piece bought in person at the showroom is not covered by a statutory cooling-off period.
You may withdraw from a distance purchase within fourteen days of receiving the piece, without giving a reason. Tell Cecile within those fourteen days, in any clear way — the form below, an email, or a letter. You then have a further fourteen days to send the piece back.
Cecile refunds the purchase price and the standard delivery cost within fourteen days of being told, and may wait until the piece has been received back. The direct cost of returning the piece is at the buyer's expense. A piece may be handled as it would be in a shop; handling beyond that may reduce the refund.
The right of withdrawal applies to second-hand, vintage and discounted pieces in the same way as to new ones. Only a piece made to a client's own measurements is excluded, and choosing a standard size does not make a piece bespoke.
Separately from withdrawal, every piece must be what it was described to be. This guarantee has no fixed term in the Netherlands — it runs on what may reasonably be expected given price, type and age — it applies to second-hand pieces, and it cannot be excluded or shortened. Known flaws described at the time of sale are part of what was agreed.
Complete this form and send it to Cecile only if you wish to withdraw from a distance purchase.
