Last updated · 16 May 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Cecile collects, uses, and safeguards personal information when you visit cecilesdesign.com, inquire about a piece, or book a personal shopping session. The data controller is EmCeBe Design, registered in the Netherlands under chamber-of-commerce number 30213118, with its registered office at 1087 EB Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

1. What we collect

When you contact Cecile, book an appointment, or place an inquiry, we collect the information you provide directly: name, email address, telephone number, preferences, and any details relevant to your request. When you browse the catalogue, our servers receive standard request information (IP address, user agent, referrer) used to operate the site.

2. Why we collect it

Personal information is used to respond to inquiries, arrange fittings and deliveries, process orders, and provide personal styling advice.

3. Legal basis

Processing is based on the performance of a contract (when you place an inquiry or book an appointment), the legitimate interests of Cecile in maintaining and improving the catalogue, and where applicable, legal obligations (tax, accounting).

4. How long we retain it

Inquiries and appointment records are retained for one year following the last contact. Order records are retained for the statutory period required by Dutch tax law (currently seven years).

5. Who we share it with

Cecile does not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers strictly necessary to operate the site and fulfil your requests: our content platform (Sanity) and shipping partners. Each is bound by a data-processing agreement.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, restrict or erase your personal information, to object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, write to mcboekee@cecilesdesign.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

7. Cookies

The site uses functional cookies necessary for the catalogue to operate and, with your consent, analytics cookies to understand how visitors use the site. For details see our Cookie Policy.
